How are you different from other "green cleaners"?

The term ‘organic’ and ‘green’ are being used quite loosely by our competitors.  We use GreenEarth™ Cleaning.

(Excerpt from GreenEarth™ Cleaning is the world’s largest brand of environmentally friendly dry cleaning. The GreenEarth™ brand name refers to an exclusive dry cleaning process that replaces the petrochemical solvents traditionally used in dry cleaning with liquid silicone. Liquid silicone is an odorless, colorless solution that is an excellent carrier for detergents, has ideal properties for fabric care and is better for the environment. The GreenEarth™ Cleaning process is patented, and its name and logo are trademarked (there are no “generic” forms of GreenEarth™). Any dry cleaning in silicones (in any percentage) is covered under GreenEarth™ intellectual property.

“Organic”, as it relates to chemistry, refers to anything with a carbon backbone. Gasoline and asphalt are organic. Dry cleaners who market themselves this way are purposefully misleading the consumer.

Do your customers really care about eco-friendly dry cleaning?

Consumers today are increasingly concerned about the environment and the business practices of companies with which they do business. Demand for “green” products and services has risen dramatically, in fact, 49% of consumers feel that it is “important for companies to not just be profitable, but to be mindful of their impact on the environment and society,” according to a recent study done by the National Marketing Institute.

How do I use your free pickup and delivery option?

We service many full service buildings. You can leave your items in a laundry bag and leave with your doorman/concierge and call your local store or enter your details online.  We will pick up your items and bring them back when they are cleaned. Effortless.

If you are not sure if we service your area, check our store locations or please give us a call. Currently we service all of Manhattan and Northern NJ.

Why do some items take longer to be cleaned?

We use an effective yet gentle and Eco-friendly solution.  In fact, our process will lengthen the life cycle of your garments – enabling you to keep wearing your favorite pieces for longer!

When garments are heavily soiled or made up of multiple fabrics, delicate trim etc, we must inspect and hand clean certain parts to ensure appropriate cleaning.  We can’t just toss the item into a machine.  To ensure that the garment is treated properly we require the appropriate turnaround time which can be advised by our store associates upon inspection.

I'm ready to store my off season clothes. Do I need to clean them?

Yes.  All items being stored for a lengthy period of time require cleaning first.  Even though an item looks clean, body oils, perfume, invisible stains etc. can discolor or damage fabric.  Moths and other insects are attracted to these so we require all items to be dry cleaned in order to use our complimentary off season storage.

I bought my items to you for cleaning and now I see spots that weren't there before. What happened?

This can happen at any time at any cleaners.  Invisible to the eye, there may have been hairspray, deodorant remnants, apple juice, salt water sprays, perfume spills etc., that were on your garments, but revealed when exposed to heat and air.

These stains may not be removed by going through a normal cycle of cleaning alone and may require special treatment.  If you are aware of such stains, please advise at drop off so that we can remove the potential ‘stains’ prior to setting.
